Creating an in-person social network for women by reconnecting with the healing benefits of the garden.
At each gathering we’ll play with plants and flowers, share, and learn something new—face-to-face instead of online.
Hosted by Master Gardener/Horticultural Therapy Practitioner, Heather Crosby, and Yoga/Meditation Instructor, Jen Rolston.
Our time together is spent in historic Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

This is phone-free time. Upon arrival, they must be put away and used only if absolutely necessary.

Let’s kick off the growing season by learning how to plant seeds for a cut-flower garden.
We’ll also pot up (graduate) some baby seedlings that are ready to move on to a larger “space”.

Plants can be grown on site by Heather or taken home. All options discussed/provided in-person that day.
You do not have to know anything about growing plants to participate. -
If you participated March 29, we’ll be graduating our baby plants to larger pots, or the garden.
If this is your first gathering, we’ll have plants for you to work with.

Learn how to harvest and dry herbs for making tea, body care, and more.
Enjoy the sensory benefits of herbs—taste, touch, smell, and more.
Take baby herb plants home, and herb-based goodies too.

Walk through the waterside gardens and gather flowers to arrange a bouquet to take home.
Learn how to make them last as long as possible, and how to dry them too.
We’ll enjoy flower and herb inspired treats and beverages as we work, share, laugh, and connect.

Harvest fresh Japanese indigo in the garden. Then, roll up your sleeves, and learn how to dye your own bandana with this magical plant.

Learn how to use herbs and edible flowers in everyday cooking and baking.
Sample fresh herbs/flowers and try them in a variety of creations at a special buffet-style brunch. We’ll gather around the table together, feast, share, laugh, and learn.

Learn how to make many plants for free out of one plant with the basics of propagation. We’ll explore the gardens, learn what plants are good to propagate, and then we’ll practice!

Learn about a variety of flowers that you can dye fabric with. Harvest flowers from the waterside gardens, and create a one-of-a-kind bandana or scarf to take the magic with you all year round.
